The Sepik Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church is hosting a training and refocusing event for church leaders and members involved in Children's Ministries (CHM) and Women's Ministries (WM). The event will take place from January 20 -26, 2025 in the Yangoru District, Kwarabri Ch. Area.
The focus of the event will be the launch of the Alive in Jesus (AIJ) curriculum, a new Sabbath School program for children. The event will include presentations and training sessions on various aspects of the AIJ curriculum, such as its rationale, foundation, pillars, and teacher framework. There will also be demonstrations and discussions of the curriculum's content, including the Beginners Teacher’s Guide, craft resources, and program outline.
In addition to the AIJ training, the event will also provide an opportunity for WM leaders to refocus their ministries. The specific topics and activities for the WM refocusing sessions are not detailed in the source material.
Registration for the event costs K200 per church. The registration fee includes printing of 18 orange round-neck T-shirts per church. Churches are responsible for bringing their own food and providing their own transportation. Registration and T-shirt printing will take place from January 16-22.
