Sepik Mission Appoints Pastor Michael Lus as New SSPM Director

Wewak, Papua New Guinea - The Sepik Mission has announced the appointment of Pastor Michael Lus as the new Director of Sabbath School and Personal Ministries (SSPM), effective April 10, 2024.

Pastor Lus brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served the Sepik Mission for over 30 years. He hails from Kumun Village in Ward 1, West Yangoru District, and began his ministry in 1992. Over the years, he has held various leadership positions, including Area Supervisor in Bewani (2010-2012), District Director (DD) of Yangoru (10 years), Regional Supervisor for the Yangoru/Wewak region, and most recently, Overall Regional Supervisor (ORS) of Sepik Mission.

"Thank you to Sepik Mission for the call to appoint me into this role," said Pastor Lus. "I will focus on carrying forward what has been started before my appointment and help improve the work of the Personal Ministries department in the local church."

The appointment was made by the Sepik Mission's executive committee. Pastor Lus is expected to play a key role in guiding the mission's Sabbath School and Personal Ministries programs and initiatives moving forward.
