Hailing from Numbohu Village in the Kubalia region of East Sepik Province, Micah David is serving in Parina Village, Yangoru District, as a volunteer missionary supported by the Volunteer In Action (VIA) program with the Sepik Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
For the past six months, Micah has been actively preaching the gospel and strengthening the community. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, 33 people have been baptized and have joined the local Seventh-day Adventist Church. These new members are now leading small groups, sharing the message of faith, and uplifting others. One of the most significant moments in Micah’s ministry came after the PNG for Christ Campaign, which led to the formation of new small groups and even the donation of land for a new church—a clear sign that God’s work is advancing in remarkable ways.
The VIA program has been a tremendous support to Sepik Mission, providing the resources needed to carry out its mission work in the region. Since its establishment in 1996, this program has played a vital role in helping missionaries spread the gospel across the greater Sepik region, especially in remote areas.
Micah is deeply grateful for the support of the church board, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the generosity of his sponsors, all of which have made his work possible. Looking ahead, he plans to organize evangelistic meetings in villages, conduct outreach in remote areas, and bring hope and faith to even more people. His story is a powerful reminder that even in the most remote places, one person’s dedication can ignite a movement of faith and transformation.
