VIA Profile - Grace Moko

12 Feb 2025 Wilfred Nangu

Meet Grace Moko, a dedicated volunteer missionary serving with Sepik Mission in Sissano Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Aitape District, West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea. For several years, Grace has been a shining light with Sepik Mission, passionately sharing God’s love and truth in her community.

During her time as a volunteer, Grace has been actively involved in:

- Leading evangelistic meetings

- Conducting visitations and small group gatherings

- Assisting the local church in various ministry activities

Grace’s work has been incredibly rewarding! 🙌 In one of their campaigns, God provided two ordained pastors from another district to conduct baptisms. Through their efforts, they gathered four company churches and one organized church. God also provided water and community support, enabling them to patch a well during their meetings.

One of the most inspiring moments was when a program Grace was involved in sparked a great revival in one of her company churches. Six members committed their lives to Jesus, and five were baptized! 🎉

Grace is deeply grateful to her sponsors for their support, which has allowed her to serve in God’s mission. She acknowledges the blessings of experiencing “God’s mission” in her life and humbly asks for prayers for herself and her family as she continues her journey.

Let’s celebrate Grace’s unwavering dedication and the incredible work God is doing through her in Papua New Guinea! 🙏✨

VIA Profile - Micah David

29 Jan 2025 Wilfred Nangu

Hailing from Numbohu Village in the Kubalia region of East Sepik Province, Micah David is serving in Parina Village, Yangoru District, as a volunteer missionary supported by the Volunteer In Action (VIA) program with the Sepik Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

For the past six months, Micah has been actively preaching the gospel and strengthening the community. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, 33 people have been baptized and have joined the local Seventh-day Adventist Church. These new members are now leading small groups, sharing the message of faith, and uplifting others. One of the most significant moments in Micah’s ministry came after the PNG for Christ Campaign, which led to the formation of new small groups and even the donation of land for a new church—a clear sign that God’s work is advancing in remarkable ways.

The VIA program has been a tremendous support to Sepik Mission, providing the resources needed to carry out its mission work in the region. Since its establishment in 1996, this program has played a vital role in helping missionaries spread the gospel across the greater Sepik region, especially in remote areas.

Micah is deeply grateful for the support of the church board, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the generosity of his sponsors, all of which have made his work possible. Looking ahead, he plans to organize evangelistic meetings in villages, conduct outreach in remote areas, and bring hope and faith to even more people. His story is a powerful reminder that even in the most remote places, one person’s dedication can ignite a movement of faith and transformation.
