THE Kubalia District Stewardship Revival Camp Meeting, held from April 5 to 11, 2026 at Nangumarum Church, has concluded with three souls baptised, five new candidates committed to the next district program, and a week-long testimony that the gospel is very much alive in the villages of Kubalia.
The district, which comprises three local churches and ten company churches, hosted the week with the blessing of surrounding communities. Each evening, residents from Tangori 1, Numidohum, Haniyak, and Nangumarum gathered for the nightly evangelistic meetings, bringing the program to life with consistent community attendance throughout the week.
DAY SESSIONS: STEWARDSHIP, SABBATH AND MINISTRY
The daytime program featured three focused training tracks facilitated by guest speakers drawn from across the mission. Pastor Martin Sungu, the guest speaker for the week, led sessions on stewardship. Pastor Graham Ovasui covered Sabbath observance and personal ministry, and Minister Toulik delivered training on children’s and women’s ministries. Together, the sessions equipped local church leaders and members with both spiritual grounding and practical ministry tools.
SABBATH: FROM HOUSE VISITATION TO THE WATER OF BAPTISM
The final Sabbath opened with Branches Sabbath School, led by Pastor Martin Sungu through house visitations to ten homes in Haniyak village — taking the church directly into the community before the formal services began. Sabbath School was then conducted jointly by the Japaraka and Numbohu churches, followed by the Divine Service, with Mission President Pastor Henry Monape delivering the sermon.
From the Divine Service, the congregation moved straight to the water of baptism at Warasaua in Kubalia District, where Stewardship Director Pastor Martin Sungu officiated the baptism of three candidates who surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. It was the highlight of the entire week’s program.
The spiritual momentum did not end at the baptismal site. During the appeal that followed, five students stepped forward and joined the baptismal line, making a public commitment to be baptised at the next Kubalia District program. Their decision extended the week’s harvest well beyond the three who entered the water.
The week concluded with a closing ceremony in the afternoon, featuring the presentation of bilum gifts to Pastor Martin Sungu in recognition of his role as guest speaker throughout the program. It was a fitting close to a week that left the district renewed, equipped, and looking forward to what God will do next.
