Miko Adventist Church Reaches Out to Fire-Affected Pastors in Wosera-Gawi District

26 Apr 2026

MIKO Adventist Church has demonstrated the church’s care for its own by conducting a pastoral visit to the Wosera-Gawi District, bringing practical support to two pastors whose homes were recently destroyed by fire. The visit was organised by the church’s Adventist Community Services (ACS) department as part of its ongoing humanitarian outreach.

Pastor Nathan, who lost his residence to fire in his ministry area within the Middle Sepik District, and Pastor Peter Tony, whose kitchen was destroyed in an early morning fire incident, both received essential items during the visit. The church presented kitchen utensils, clothing and food supplies to the two affected ministers, meeting some of their most immediate practical needs.

Pastor Peter Tony expressed sincere appreciation on behalf of both recipients, acknowledging the church’s compassion and the significance of the gesture during a difficult time. Both pastors left the visit encouraged and reassured, a reflection of the spirit of unity and mutual care that the church community is called to embody.
