Five Children Dedicated to God in Joyful Highlight of World Children’s Day 2026

14 Mar 2026

MIKO Adventist Church was filled with joy this Sabbath as not one but five young couples stepped forward to dedicate their newborn children to God, marking a memorable highlight for World Children’s Day 2026.

The child dedication ceremony — a sacred occasion where parents make a public commitment before God and the congregation to raise their children in a loving Christian home — was officiated by Minister Moses Samgai, who delivered a charge drawn from Psalm 127:3–4.

Minister Samgai reminded the congregation that Scripture regards children as a heritage from the Lord and a reward — gifts to be treasured, not burdens to be endured. He likened children to arrows, instruments of influence and sources of future strength, and called on parents to take seriously the sacred responsibility of guiding young lives in faith.

The congregation received the dedication ceremony with great delight, and the occasion renewed the church’s resolve to further invest in Children’s Ministry programs in the year ahead.
