ABC Shop Assistants Complete Four-Day Digital Marketing Training in Wewak

20 Mar 2026

THE Adventist Book Centre (ABC) of Sepik Mission has successfully wrapped up a four-day training program for shop assistants from its Wewak, Maprik, and Vanimo branches, held at Eden Lodge in Wewak from March 16 to 19, 2026.

The training was facilitated by Sepik Mission’s Communications Director, Minister Joe Philip, and centred on digital promotion and marketing strategies designed to help the three ABC centres achieve their sales targets while advancing the mission’s discipleship goals. Participants were encouraged to embrace a new identity as Digital Disciples — leveraging the internet and their mobile phones to promote and market spiritual resources to the greater Sepik region and beyond.

Also participating in the training was Jeannel Joremari, Health Promotion Officer for Sepik SDA Health Services, who joined the mission’s health team four months ago. Jeannel will apply her newly acquired digital skills specifically to advancing the Adventist health ministry’s outreach and promotion.

The four-day program concluded with a visit from Mission Secretary Pastor Charles Paul and Associate CFO Bilfred Kangei, who offered words of encouragement to the small team, affirming their potential and urging them to put their newly equipped skills to work. Pastor Paul closed the event with a dedicatory prayer before certificates were presented to all participants.
